The Golden State Warriors utilized a different lineup for their third game of the season as Chris Paul came off the bench against the Houston Rockets. Paul has started every game of his NBA career since being drafted by the New Orleans Hornets in 2005, appearing in 1,365 consecutive games.

He made his season debut after Draymond Green missed the first two games with a sprained ankle, ending Paul's streak. Green and Paul are similar in their on-court play, both being the team's floor generals, which is why head coach Steve Kerr decided to bench Paul.

Paul talked about how playing with the "Splash Brothers" Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson makes it easier for him. He's known for making it easier for his teammates to play, and now he's getting more opportunities with the Warriors.

"I said a couple 'damn' things, blah, blah, blah, blah, you know what I mean?" Paul talked about Curry's game." But we're all on the same page right now, so it's really cool to be on a page when you're driving and everybody's trying to help and you're getting open layups.

"It's fun for guys like me who pass the ball. Klay came in off the bench and every time he made a shot, I thought the ball was going to go in. So playing with those guys makes the game easier."

With Paul at the helm, the Warriors are expected to be a strong playoff contender this season. Despite the roster changes, their team still appears to be a legitimate threat in the Western Conference.
